Anna Taylor founded Judith and James with the vision to use her creative abilities and experiences in the fashion industry to eradicate poverty among women in Nairobi, Kenya. Anna first moved to Kenya with her family in 2007 and spent several years in the country. In 2010, a local Kenyan leader introduced Anna to an unemployed seamstress, Judith (the company's namesake).

Anna hired Judith to sew custom pieces for friends and family in the United States. Living in Kenya allowed Anna to develop a deep understanding of the culture and establish relationships with local suppliers and industry experts. Ann entered with local fashion industry leaders to learn the skills required to start a business in Kenya.

While completing her degree in Apparel Studies at the University of Arkansas in May 2013, Anna shifted focus to launching Judith + James on a national scale. Se debuted her Spring/Summer 2014 Collection in New York Fashion Week at the Helen Mills Event Space in September 2013 and her designs caught the attention of Top Chef hostess, Padma Lakshmi.

Anna returned to New York Fashion Week to show her next collection in 2014, and showed her Spring/Sumer 2015 collection at Fashion Week Middle East in Dubai as well as Los Angeles Fashion Week. Anna is excited to launch her Spring/Summer 2015 jewelry designs in Dillard's department stores in March 2015.
